    Mauá Square

    Our tour of the historic center begins in Rio de Janeiro’s port area, Praça Mauá. The area has undergone a revitalization process and has gained new attractions such as the Rio Art Museum (MAR) and the Museum of Tomorrow.

    São Bento Monastery and Candelária Church

    Then we’ll take you to visit the São Bento Monastery, one of the country’s main monuments of colonial art. Then our tour takes you to the famous and imposing Church of Candelaria.

    XV Square

    A few more steps and we arrive at the area known for being the beginning of the city’s occupation, Praça XV de Novembro. You’ll have the chance to get to know the main region of Imperial Brazil, as Praça XV not only houses the Paço Imperial, but also several other historic buildings such as the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center (formerly the Casa da Moeda), the France-Brazil Cultural Center, the Arco do Teles, the Nossa Senhora do Carmo Church and the Tiradentes Palace.

    Moving on, our tour lands in the heart of Lapa, where you can explore the beauties of the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Escadaria Selarón and, of course, the Arcos da Lapa.
